But WHO was she in the movie? I don't even recognize the face.

I'm telling you I don't remember faces well at all.

Was she the one that was the DA and almost killed like 5 times?

Best Batman Ever.

His suit didn't look all plasticy and it actually had a story. No robin was also a big plus. I can't wait till the next one.

Er, "Best Batman movie" isn't really saying much. That's like saying "this is the best Austrian grunge metal I've ever heard!"

LOL. The others were pretty bad. This is the best movie that I have seen all year. I liked it better than Revenge of the Sith by a lot, granted that was the one of the better movies out this year (or at least recently as I don'y rember any movies from before May)

Ok, what about: Batman Begins is better than Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin and the 60s Batman with Adam West.

yes she was..

If some of you have never seen other Bale movies you really need to go out and rent "The Machinest", "American Pycho", "Empire of The Sun" and lastly "Reign of Fire" RofF was not the best movie but Bale was solid in this movie

As for Katie she was very good in "Wonder Boys", and "The Gift"

I highly recommend renting "The Gift" this was a movie Directed by Sam Raimi and Writen by Billy Bob thorton with a great Cast.. Ribisi Giovanni should have won a Oscar for his role in the movie

I definitely recommend "The Machinist" too. I really loved Christian's dedication to the part. All the weight he lost was just..wow. He did such an awesome job in the movie.

I haven't seen The Machinist, I don't think... will have to rent it this weekend. I agree, though, that Bale is just a solid actor all around. It's good to see him taking this role and making it his own and doing it so well.

Jesus Christ, there's so much in this thread that I want to reply to!

Point the First: Christian Bale is the most underrated actor of our day, and as expected, truly filled the awesome role that is Batman/Bruce Wayne.

Point the Second: Equilibrium has yet to be knocked off of my top five movies list.

Point the Third: Amen to the note another member made about it being called Gotham City for a reason. Let's raise a glass in honour of the men (and women?) who made the wonderful and long-awaited decision to strip the Batman franchise of its goofy, juvenile past.

Point the Fourth: Bale has agreed to two more films? Must... not... squeal... at... work...

Point the Fifth: I was unaware that The Machinist was already out, although I should've known... my podunk town didn't even show it.
